Jakarta Business School (JBS) was established in 2021 under the Decree of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology No. 390/E/O/2021, granting permission for the founding of the Jakarta Institute of Technology and Business. It is organized by the Knowledge Link Islamic School Foundation (Yayasan KLIS), a legal entity affiliated with an international-standard elementary school in Bogor, Knowledge Link Intercultural School.
JBS is committed to shaping young entrepreneurs and professionals with local wisdom, global insight, and international standards by collaborating with international partners.
Strategically located in the heart of Jakarta’s business district, JBS serves as a center of excellence for developing the digital economy, working closely with key stakeholders, including the government, private sector, investors, communities, and media.

- Organizing education in the fields of entrepreneurship, digital business, and international trade by involving lecturers from business practitioners and academic backgrounds, both from within and outside the country, in collaboration with international universities;
- Conducting high-quality research in entrepreneurship, digital business, and international trade as a Center of Excellence to foster and develop the Digital Economy for Jakarta and Indonesia, in collaboration with stakeholders, including the government, private sector, communities, and media;
- Carrying out community service through the application of expertise in entrepreneurship, digital business, and international trade for the advancement of the Indonesian nation and state;
- Innovating in the fields of entrepreneurship, digital business, and international trade by integrating local wisdom, a global perspective, and international standards.

Jakarta Business School is an educational institution committed to providing high-quality education that is relevant to industry needs, meets international standards, and is centered on students (student-centered design).
One of the key requirements for a country to become a developed nation is having more than 14% of its population engaged in entrepreneurship. Currently, Indonesia has only reached 3.47%. This fact presents an opportunity to further accelerate the growth of the business and entrepreneurship sectors.

The lecturers and instructors at Jakarta Business School (JBS) come from professional backgrounds, including CEOs, entrepreneurs, and business practitioners. This ensures that learning is highly focused on real-world business case studies. JBS also collaborates with Universiti Sultan Azlan Shah (USAS) in Malaysia for curriculum development and faculty exchange.
- INDUSTRIAL & BUSINESS ENGAGEMENT
The academic system is designed to provide students with hands-on industrial and business experience. One of the key programs includes internships at multinational companies, start-ups, and small businesses.
- INTERNATIONAL ENVIRONMENT
To familiarize students with an international environment, courses are conducted entirely in English (full English course). The teaching methods adopt global models, including Analytical Thinking, Problem-Solving Approach, and Project-Based Learning.
