Jakarta, August 8, 2024 — Jakarta Business School proudly welcomed the visit of YB Dato’ Seri Diraja Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir, Malaysia’s Minister of Higher Education, and Dato’ Syed Md Hasrin Tengku Hussin, Malaysia’s Ambassador to Indonesia. Formation of the Committee and Task Force for the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence (Satgas PPKS) at Institut Teknologi dan Bisnis Jakarta (ITBJ)
On Monday, June 10, 2024, ITBJ held an online Public Test via Zoom for the Selection Committee of the Task Force for the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence (Satgas PPKS).
The Public Test was attended by six participants, consisting of two lecturers, one administrative staff member, and three students. The participants were assessed by Dr. Hamdan Zoelva, S.H., M.H. (Rector of ITBJ) and Dr. Febri Nila Chrisanty, S.E., M.M. (Researcher in Organizational Management). Out of the six participants, five were declared to have passed.
Next, the Selection Committee will form the Satgas PPKS members, consisting of four students, two administrative staff members, and one lecturer, through an interview and administrative selection process on June 13, 2024. JBS Finalizes Strategic Partnership in the Hospitality Sector with IIC Malaysia
Jakarta, May 11, 2023 – Jakarta Business School (JBS) has signed a strategic partnership in the hospitality, leisure, and tourism sector with Innovative International College (IIC), a higher education institution from Malaysia. The signing ceremony took place on Thursday, May 11, 2023, in Jakarta.
The partnership focuses on Indonesia’s growing hospitality industry, with JBS and IIC collaborating to support this sector through educational programs such as the Diploma in Hotel Management and Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality.
“This collaboration will benefit both IIC and JBS, especially in enhancing academic quality. JBS, in particular, will gain significant advantages in developing hospitality study programs, as IIC has extensive experience in this field,” said JBS Rector, Hamdan Zoelva, during the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at K-Link Tower, South Jakarta.
This strategic partnership is expected to contribute to Indonesia’s economic growth, particularly in tourism and hospitality. JBS and IIC plan to continue their collaboration for at least the next five years.

JBS Hosts Talk Show on Exercising During Ramadan
Jakarta, March 31, 2023 – Jakarta Business School (JBS) hosted an online seminar featuring Amal Ganesha, a sports expert and JBS lecturer, discussing the relationship between exercise and Ramadan on Friday, March 31, 2023.
The public seminar was conducted via Instagram Live and was open to everyone.
As Ramadan begins, many people face the dilemma of maintaining a regular exercise routine while fasting. Amal, who also serves as the Head of the Digital Business Study Program at JBS, provided scientific insights on the ideal physical activity patterns for individuals observing the fast.

JBS Rector Delivers Public Lecture on Pancasila
Jakarta, January 4, 2023 – Dr. Hamdan Zoelva, S.H., M.H., Rector of Jakarta Business School (JBS), will deliver a public lecture on nationalism titled “Pancasila: Harmony in the Diversity of Indonesian Society” on Wednesday, January 4, 2023.
The lecture will be conducted offline at the JBS campus in South Jakarta, with an online option available for JBS students and the general public.
Dr. Hamdan Zoelva is a prominent figure in Indonesia’s national and political landscape, having served as the Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (2013–2015) and is recognized as a senior legal expert.

JBS Officially Establishes Student Association and Student Activity Units
Jakarta, December 23, 2022 – Students of Jakarta Business School (JBS) now officially have associations for various non-academic and extracurricular activities.
The inauguration of the Student Association (Hima) and Student Activity Units (UKM) took place on Friday, December 23, 2022, at the JBS campus, attended by students and campus representatives, including Vice Rector Dian Alanudin, Executive Director Aminah Safira, Head of Digital Business Program Amal Ganesha, and Head of International Relations Sujardin Syarifuddin.
“Hima and UKM serve as a ‘home’ for students, providing a space for them to engage, organize, and develop soft skills. I encourage students to actively participate in these organizations, as they will be highly beneficial after graduation,” said Amal Ganesha in his speech.
“Hima and UKM are the right platforms for students to express themselves in ways that cannot be found in classroom learning,” added Sujardin Syarifuddin.
JBS students now officially have three Student Associations (Hima) in Entrepreneurship, International Trade, and Digital Business. Meanwhile, for Student Activity Units (UKM), they can join various student clubs, including Music, Photo-Cinema, English Club, Outdoor Adventure, E-Sports, and Innovation & Entrepreneurship.

JBS Officially Establishes MUET Partnership with MPM
Jakarta, December 10, 2022 – Jakarta Business School (JBS) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Majlis Peperiksaan Malaysia (MPM) on Saturday, December 10, 2022, officially making JBS the sole Malaysian University English Test (MUET) center in Jakarta.
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by Tan Sri Prof. Dr. Nordin bin Kardi (Rector of Sultan Azlan Shah University), Badrul Hisham bin Abdullah (Executive Chairman II of MPM), Adnan bin Husin (CEO of MPM), Dr. Hamdan Zoelva (Rector of JBS), Dian Alanudin (Vice Rector of JBS), and Adlan bin Mohd. Shaffieq (Acting Malaysian Ambassador to Indonesia).
JBS now offers Indonesian students the opportunity to take MUET courses and tests before pursuing higher education abroad. MUET is a recognized English proficiency assessment accepted by universities in Malaysia, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
