The executive leadership responsible for the daily management of Jakarta Business School consists of the Commissioner, Rector, Vice Rector, Head of Study Programs, and heads of structural departments within the institution. They are directly supervised by the Academic Senate and are accountable to the KLIS Foundation regarding the institution’s short-term and long-term direction.

Rector – Dr. Hamdan Zoelva, S.H., M.H.

Hamdan Zoelva has served as the Rector of Jakarta Business School (JBS) since 2021, following a decision by the KLIS Foundation’s management.

Dr. Hamdan is a former Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2013–2015 period. He earned his Bachelor of Law degree from Hasanuddin University and obtained both his Master’s and Doctorate in Constitutional Law from Padjadjaran University.

In addition to his academic and judicial career, Dr. Hamdan founded the law firm Zoelva & Partners, based in South Jakarta.

Commissioner – Tan Sri Prof. Dato’ Dr. Nordin Bin Kardi

Prof. Dr. Nordin serves as the Chief Executive overseeing non-academic managerial divisions at Jakarta Business School (JBS), including marketing, operations, and human resources.

He previously held the position of Vice-Chancellor at Universiti Sultan Azlan Shah (USAS) and has extensive experience in higher education. Throughout his career, he has served as a lecturer, student counselor, residential college principal, and more at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). Additionally, he played a key role in the establishment of the National Accreditation Board (LAN) and managed the accreditation of Social Sciences programs in private higher education institutions (IPTS).

Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Nordin Kardi is a prolific writer in the fields of leadership, counseling, and higher education development. Some of his published works include “Falsafah dan Prinsip Asas Kaunseling” (Philosophy and Basic Principles of Counseling), “Idealisme Kepemimpinan Untuk Kemajuan Negara” (Leadership Idealism for National Progress), and “Pembinaan Kekuatan dan Ketahanan Negara Menerusi Pendidikan Moral dan Nilai” (Building National Strength and Resilience Through Moral and Value Education).

His dedication to student development is evident from his role as a counselor at UPM and his Ph.D. dissertation at the University of Hull, titled “Rationale for the Provision of Student Personnel Services,” which he completed in 1993.
