Launching ISO 9001:2015 Management System Jakarta Business School
Jakarta, May 22, 2024 – Jakarta Business School (JBS), a higher education institution committed to managing its organization with accountability and transparency, has launched the ISO 9001:2015 Management System. This initiative supports JBS’s vision and mission to produce graduates with local wisdom, a global perspective, and international quality, in collaboration with partners both domestically and internationally.
The importance of international certifications, such as ISO 9001:2015, is recognized for its potential benefits to JBS. These include enhancing the quality of education, improving trust and reputation, and increasing operational efficiency. The launch event was marked by a speech from the Rector of JBS, Dr. Hamdan Zoelva, S.H., at the JBS Campus, Tower KLink Jakarta.
Dr. Hamdan highlighted that this standard ensures that educational and administrative processes align with international best practices, thus improving student satisfaction. “ISO 9001:2015 promotes continuous improvement, enabling JBS to consistently identify and implement improvement measures, providing a competitive edge in the education market, ensuring regulatory compliance, and implementing effective risk management,” explained Dr. Hamdan Zoelva.
He added, “With this, JBS can optimize resources and strengthen its position as an internationally recognized educational institution.”
Dr. Hamdan also emphasized that the implementation of ISO 9001:2015 aims to establish JBS as a campus with international service standards. “Our focus is that once we achieve this certification, the campus will uphold international service standards, safeguarding our reputation and standardizing management operations,” he stated.
Despite being relatively new, established just two years ago, JBS aspires to achieve both national and international acclaim. “Although we are only two years old, we aim to be a campus of national and international repute,” he said.
In the digital era, producing ISO 9001:2015 standard-compliant graduates is crucial. “In this digital age, it is essential to create outstanding students who meet the ISO 9001:2015 standards, a quality management standard recognized globally,” Dr. Hamdan noted.
With the application of ISO 9001:2015, JBS will align its standards with those of universities in Europe, particularly the UK. “We will match the standards of universities in Europe, especially the UK. We hope parents choose JBS for their children’s education, as we offer an international standard for a better future,” he concluded.
The event was attended by Datuk Radzi Saleh (Chairman of KLIS Foundation), Tan Sri Prof. Dr. Nordin Kardi (CEO of JBS), Dr. Dian Alanudin, MBA, GRCE (Vice Rector), Yusup Jamaludin (Head of Internal Quality Assurance), Budi Yianti (Lloyd International), and Haji Saidfudin bin Masodi (ISO Consultant).
