Formation of the Committee and Members of the Task Force for the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence (Satgas PPKS) at the Jakarta Institute of Technology and Business (ITBJ)

Jakarta, June 10, 2024 – The Jakarta Institute of Technology and Business (ITBJ) held a Public Hearing for the Selection Committee of the Task Force for the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence (Satgas PPKS) on Monday, June 10, 2024. The event was conducted online via Zoom as an initial step in the establishment of the Task Force, aimed at creating a safe and violence-free campus environment.
The Public Hearing was attended by six participants, consisting of two lecturers, one administrative staff member, and three students.
The participants were assessed by two internal panelists: Dr. Hamdan Zoelva, S.H., M.H. (Rector of ITBJ) and Dr. Febri Nila Chrisanty, S.E., M.M. (Researcher in Organizational Management). Of the six candidates who took part in the Public Hearing, five were declared successful and will serve as members of the Selection Committee.
Following the establishment of the Selection Committee, the next task will be to appoint members of the Satgas PPKS. The Task Force will comprise seven individuals, including four students, two administrative staff members, and one lecturer. Prior to its formation, the Selection Committee will conduct interviews and administrative screening on June 13, 2024.
As part of ITBJ’s commitment to enhancing safety and comfort within the campus environment, as well as supporting efforts to prevent and address sexual violence, an integrity pact was signed on July 17, 2024.
The event was organized by LLDIKTI Region III. It is hoped that with the establishment of the Satgas PPKS, ITBJ will be able to provide maximum protection for all members of the academic community from all forms of sexual violence.
